Prayer for Loved One Who turned away from God

Father God,

You are the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end. You hold time in Your hands, and You see what we cannot. Today I come before You with a burdened heart, crying out for the soul of my loved one who once walked with You, who once knew Your voice and tasted Your grace. But now they’ve drifted, distracted by the world, dulled by disappointment, or deceived by the enemy.

Lord, I plead with You: awaken them. Shake them from spiritual slumber. Let the urgency of this hour pierce through the fog of indifference. You said the night is far spent and the day is at hand—so I ask You to move swiftly. Stir their spirit. Remind them of who they are and whose they are.

Let Your Spirit whisper truth into their heart. Let dreams and divine encounters break through the noise. Let Your Word echo in their memory like a trumpet blast. Father, if this is the season of Your return, do not let them be left behind. Call them back with power and tenderness. Break every chain. Silence every lie. Restore what has been lost.

I declare Your promises over them:

That You are not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9).

That You will finish the good work You began (Philippians 1:6).

That You will pour out Your Spirit in the last days (Joel 2:28).

Give me wisdom to speak life, not condemnation. Help me love them with Your heart, not my frustration. Let me be a vessel of grace, a voice of truth, and a light in their darkness.

Time is short, Lord. The signs are everywhere. The trumpet could sound at any moment. So I ask You—urgently, boldly, and with faith—bring them home. Let them be counted among Your bride. Let them be ready when You come.

In the mighty name of Jesus,

Amen.
