Prayer for Loved One Who is saved and not watching

Lord Jesus,

You are the Bridegroom who comes at midnight, the King who returns with a shout and the blast of the trumpet. You warned us to be watchful, to keep our lamps trimmed and burning, to be ready for Your arrival. Today I lift up those I love who are asleep to the hour in which we live.

Father, awaken them. Shake them gently but urgently. Let the signs of the times stir their spirit. Let Your Word pierce through distraction, deception, and delay. Give them discernment - not just to recognize the chaos of the world, but to understand what it means prophetically. Let them see that this is not just history unfolding, it’s eternity approaching.

I pray they will not be found with empty lamps or dry wicks. I ask You to fill them with fresh oil—Your Spirit, Your truth, Your conviction. Let them trim their lamps with repentance, readiness, and reverence. Let them hunger for Your Word, thirst for righteousness, and walk in holiness.

Time is short, Lord. The days are accelerating. The trumpet could sound at any moment. I ask You to move swiftly in their hearts. Remove spiritual complacency. Break through lukewarmness. Let them not be caught unaware, like the foolish virgins who were shut out of the wedding feast.

You are merciful, and You are mighty. You are patient, but You are coming soon. So, I ask You urgently to ignite a fire in those I love. Let them be among the wise, the ready, the expectant. Let them be found watching, praying, and longing for Your return.

And Lord, help me be a light to them. Let my life reflect the urgency of the hour and the joy of Your promise. Use me to speak truth, to model readiness, and to love them toward You.

In Your holy and soon-returning name,

Amen.
